Nicolai Bergmann Flowers & Design is offering a limited edition flower box made from used denim.
Nicolai Bergmann has always been keen in taking a creative approach to the environmental issues that both the floral and fashion industries face together.
Recently he connected with Yamasawa Press, whom had purchased approximately 20 tons of used denim (about 30,000 pairs) that was about to be thrown away in a warehouse on the West Coast of the United States, in means of upcycling it as material for various projects without going directly to waste. Yamasawa Press together with Isetan gathered project members requesting to “Please make use of the 20 tons of denim as you wish. Let’s do something fun for the fashion industry, the world, and the future!” In support of this project, a special collaboration item was born.
With the intention of being reused and loved for many years to come, we expressed a timeless design with preserved flowers that can be enjoyed for many years to come.
From the perspective of environmental issues, we believe this will become a new standard for future floral gifts.
