In 2025, Nicolai Bergmann’s iconic Flower Box celebrates its 25th anniversary. To mark this milestone, we are excited to announce the first collaboration of the anniversary series with FACETASM, the fashion brand founded by Hiromichi Ochiai. The limited-edition collaboration Flower Box was launched on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
This collaboration was born from a shared vision between Nicolai Bergmann, who was inspired to design gardening wear after opening Nicolai Bergmann Hakone Gardens in 2022, and Hiromichi Ochiai of FACETASM, who wanted to take on the challenge of introducing new concepts in gardening fashion—a category with limited offerings in the industry.
Hiromichi Ochiai drew inspiration from the bandana patterns commonly worn by gardeners, merging Nicolai Bergmann’s floral aesthetics with the iconic American casual style of the 1980s. The color palette features FACETASM’s signature “Ice Blue”, combined with lush green hues to symbolize nature. On the center of the lid, an iconic logo designed by Mina Tabei is featured, incorporating the names “Nicolai Bergmann” and “FACETASM” within bold, organic curves that symbolize the dynamic vitality of plants. This design elevates Nicolai Bergmann’s traditionally luxurious image, — offering a lighter and more refreshing new perspective.
The intricate bandana motif designed by FACETASM extends seamlessly from the lid to the sides of the box. Inside, the floral arrangement features a harmonious blend of white and ivory roses and carnations, accented with green for a striking contrast—perfectly complementing the box’s design. Every detail, from the box itself to the floral arrangement and green ribbon, comes together in this iconic collaboration.
