Exhibition “SEED” by Danish Artist Carl Krull at Nicolai Bergmann Flowers & Design
From Thursday, September 11 to Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Nicolai Bergmann Flowers & Design flagship store will host the exhibition “SEED” by Danish artist Carl Krull on the second floor.
Krull will present his unique works—internationally acclaimed for their distinctive brushstrokes reminiscent of geological layers and seismic waves—for the first time in Japan. To mark this occasion, Nicolai Bergmann, also from Denmark, has collaborated with Krull to create floral art, which will be on display from September 11 to 15.
Inspired by the 25th anniversary of the Flower Box, Krull has created a monumental box in Japan using concrete, measuring 120 cm in height and weighing 80 kg. Nicolai Bergmann has arranged flowers on this structure, transforming the space into a striking display of collaborative art.
Through this exhibition, Krull explores boundless imagination. His vivid, almost Technicolor-like colors evoke images of flowers and honey, while the motifs radiate intense color and explosive energy, appearing almost edible in their vibrancy.
From September 16 to 30, only Carl Krull’s works will be on display and available for purchase.
About Carl Krull
Carl Krull (b. 1975) lives and works in Denmark.He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Poland, in 1999 and has since contributed to a wide range of exhibitions in both Denmark and abroad. Carl Krull is a Danish artist whose work depicts figures inhabiting topographical territories that break open new ground, revealing our world as if mapped by sonar and echolocated in space.
We witness the steps of a newly liberated aesthetic: fingers move across the canvas and images emerge through a myriad of circuits—longitudes and latitudes intersecting in a complex whirl, the artist excavates the motif from the layered paint and canvas.
