Welcome to the Nicolai Bergmann International School of Floristry.
As one of Japan’s most renowned floral design schools, we are proud to offer a unique and inspiring learning experience in the heart of Tokyo’s stylish Omotesando district.
Our diverse curriculum features a wide range of courses in floral design and arrangement using both fresh and preserved flowers. Rooted in the aesthetics of European and Scandinavian design and enriched by the meticulous artistry of Japanese craftsmanship, our signature style reflects the vision of Nicolai Bergmann—an internationally celebrated figure in floral art.
Classes are led by Nicolai Bergmann himself or by senior instructors who have trained under his direct guidance. Each lesson centers around a thoughtfully curated theme, designed to enhance your technical skills while encouraging personal creativity. Our instructors provide individual support to ensure every student receives the guidance they need to grow and thrive artistically. While lessons are primarily conducted in Japanese, English support is readily available to accommodate international students.
Enjoy a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere in our contemporary studio space located above the Nicolai Bergmann Flowers & Design Flagship Store. During your creative sessions, you’ll also be treated to refreshments and light desserts from our in-house café, NOMU. We invite you to join us on this creative journey. Professional School -Season 4 Students Application Open
Season Four: September 2025 – August 2026 (Application Deadline: July 31, 2025)
The Professional School offers an in-depth exploration of Nicolai Bergmann’s floral design philosophy, going beyond the scope of our regular classes. This year-long program is ideal for those who aspire to build a career in the floral industry, become professional florists, or pursue advanced goals in floral design.
In addition to mastering Nicolai Bergmann’s distinctive floral style, students will have the opportunity to actively participate in unique experiences such as large-scale displays and exhibitions—opportunities rarely available outside of this program.
We’ve prepared a rich and inspiring curriculum, available only through this school, and we look forward to welcoming passionate students ready to take their creativity to the next level.
